How do the weekends fly by quite so quickly?
Despite the fact that I’m not even working, the weeks still seem to feel so drawn out in comparison to the two, golden days of united freedom the majority of people share – I say majority, having just come from a retail job and thus knowing the pain and sacrifice that comes with this territory.
On this occasion, I popped up to London to see some of my friends who I’d gone to school with; to be reunited with girls who have seen me through some of the most vulnerable stages of growing up and who have been there by my side to share the best bits too. I recently read an article that said ‘A few people will change your life forever. Find them. You don’t need a lot of friends or people around you. You need amazing people who do for you as you do for them‘ and as soppy as this may sound to the wary, hungover human who has inadvertently stumbled across this blog on a Sunday night, you cannot deny the truth in that.
These shorts are probably my most rewarding purchase right now – being a £1.99 vintage bargain, they are a size 20, to which my Dad found unsettling and commented that ‘I could buy a potato for a pound and I wouldn’t suggest that looked any good either’. Call me blind or call me fashionably inept, I think these shorts are fantastic. So perhaps I will give that potato a go…
